Im SO glad someone posted this! Thanks, Tiff!
Its odd Lindseys studio is detached from the house and has its own separate bedroom. Is Lindsey having a lot of late night sleepovers at his studio? Hmmm. -Lindsay-

Their children are so gorgeous...as is their house.
Could've done without seeing the master bedroom But hey...as Lindsay has mentioned, there is a separate bedroom in the studio...interesting...no implication necessary. Alison |

Right now I have my first real "I hate Kristen" moment. She looks so damn proud on this pics. And so "I am rich, I just won". Like Sarah Jessica Parker in "The first Wives club".
On the other side, it is really funny how unfomfortable Lindsey looks on all the pics. The children are adorable. Don't get me wrong, usually I have a lot of sympathy for Kristen. |

Thanks!
The house is, of course, amazingly gorgeous. Kristen looks much prettier in these shots than she does in person...and the kids are BEAUTIFUL! I could have done without seeing those pics of LB and K together so early in the morning, I have to tell ya. ~Renae ![]() -- Lesser Spotted SnL Shippers unite! -- |

Also...
Why in the world is Kristen (by herself) the cover girl? It isn't as if the majority of the world has any clue who she is. I would understand if she were featured along with LB...but alone? Weird. ~Renae ![]() -- Lesser Spotted SnL Shippers unite! -- |

Well, they must be done making babies now, since it's only a 4-bedroom home... unless they double them up, or put them in the bedroom out in the studio!!!
It is a beautiful home... and Lindsey *does* look relaxed and cozy with K... and K does look absolutely beautiful... Quash!! <--- sound of my dreams of a SnL reunion! All I can say is that K is one lucky lady... and so is Stevie for getting to work with him! I really hate the bed and lamps in the master bedroom, though... that orange and green combo has always made me feel ill!!! Why didn't they show the bedroom in the studio? I wonder if Linds decorated that one himself? This is so depressing! Nice to know where all of our FM money is being spent, though!!! Lee. |

Re: re: Lindsey's house in the June issue of 'Town and Coun

POINT - COUNTERPOINT
Jason's view is the house is great and K looks good. Why is it the young pretty wives always insist on a new house immediately after the marriage. HMMM - community property state could have something to do with it Okay - that was Jason's as usual analytical post Sharon is with me right now, so here it is unadorned and blunt: Well......I agree with Jason on this, but LB does NOT look relaxed AT ALL! As usual he looks tense and blank and like he wants to go. Why doesn't the man have any other clothes? He doesn't need much closet space, right down to the same pair of shoes. I do think K looks pretty, and the house is lovely, but nobody knows who *she* is. When I heard she was on the cover, I was expecting a shot of her *in* the house, not a headshot. That's wierd. K is a "photographer" of sorts, so she clearly knows the power of an upfront headshot, versus putting the focus on the property, which is what the article is supposed to be about. Hmmmm..... is someone getting a little ambitious? That striped headoard is hideous. At least it is padded so her head doesn't leave any dents. I bet it gets all dirty after a while from her feet being on it all the time.... Time to make another baby! Yes, this article will be the cause of eye-rolling and gagging, but this too shall pass, my dears. When all is said and done, K will have her fabulous house, and who can blame a girl for wanting something better than what she came from? The article should be called Small Town Girl Makes Good. The funny thing is, we went out last night looking for this mag at 2am and couldn't find it, only to walk into Jason's apartment ..... and I saw it sitting on the table in the entryway. At first, I really didn't recognize the non-descript, generic blonde on the cover, but then noticint the title.... I said, "Jason, here's this month T&C, and this is Kristen!" Tonight's show should be good, tit for tat this game is, you know..... the ball's in La Nicks court, and I have a fourth row seat for it! YAY!!! More later! -Sharon |

I don't like the house as much as I'd think i would, considering how much $ they spent on it. I don't like the bare square windows and the little balcony things. Don't like the square windows in the kitchen either, and really don't like the master bedroom headboard- doesn't really seem linds's style does it? And why does kristen need a "study"?!
I do have to say that it makes me even more annoyed about how bitchy she's been to fans when she's been running back to CA with their money to revise their bulding plans multiple times and hire expensive designers. She really hit the jackpot though, didn't she? "Now I just adore him. He is my love. My first love and my love for all time... The way he is with his children just knocks me out. I look at him now and just go, Oh, Stevie, you made a mistake! MOJO Magazine 12/03

I'm very surprised K is on the cover. She's not known in her own right or even as a partner, like Linda McCartney.
I love Lindsey. When I heard him in Destiny Rules talking over money with his comment about having a house built, I was kind of surprised. I liked how Mick pointed out his contradictions about money vs. art to Ray. But having seen this house --- how much friggin' money do you need?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I feel kind of used. I love the Rumours enhanced CD, but really, don't you think those tracks were around since 1977 and it seemed opportune to release them now and cash in on the cow while it was full of milk?! Cause when realistically could they tour again in their lifetime --- perhaps doing senior communities. I'm happy he has a beautiful place, but it kind of seems it's at our expense. And my gosh, K --- can she look any more self-satisfied? I really don't care now if S and L hang out together after a show, while K searches the Interet for the right hue of a terra cotta brick from 1918. with love & rants Deb |

The person on the cover of Town & Country is often not famous in the sense of movie/rock star famous. They often have beautiful women just like Kristen on the cover. The magazine used to be more of a society magazine, but they're trying to get away from that and make it more of a lifestyle magazine. Kristen wouldn't need to know anyone at T&C or anywhere else for them to feature her by all alone on the cover, it's more the norm than not. She would also have no control over the way she's shot or which pictures they decide to use. The magazine or their stylist would also choose her clothes and accessories including the beautiful jewelry she was wearing. More often than not, the clothing and accessories for magazine editorials are tied into designers who advertise heavily in the magazine.
I didn't see any pale shadows, only a beautiful family and their new home. Quote: I'll let that comment stand for exactly what it is, you know what they say. Definitely the impression is that Lindsey was also unhappy with his old house and since he had started a family it's not unusual at all to look for a larger house. Since he had such an amazing piece of property it's great that he could rebuild and keep those gorgeous views. It seemed like they both took the design of the new house as a chance to build something beautiful while recreating and incorporating great old design elements. Quote: The article is appropriately titled "Sweet Life"...how great for Lindsey! Quote: Why would you be annoyed at her for doing what other women do in making a nice home for their family? The article clearly gave the impression that designing and building this home was something Lindsey and Kristen enjoyed and spent a considerable amount of time making it everything they wanted it to be. Quote: Yes, she has a gorgeous wonderful husband and beautiful family. Looks like Lindsey hit the jackpot too, a beautiful wife and family.... and now a home where they can all enjoy the "Sweet Life" Great article, beautiful home and family. Dee

It's a nice house, but it looks like the 'VIP's only' platinum package supplied by an interior designer who's very fond of a Shangri-La placed somewhere between Spain, France and China

Does anyone else notice that on the front cover there are two very thin strands of K's hair that form a V at the juncture of her part and forehead? To me, they look like horns.

Re: Lindsey's house in the June issue of 'Town and Country'
Quote: My point is that she's rude to be such a bitch to the people that are paying good money, which she is then using to design her house in an horrid, unliveable fashion, which I'm pretty sure you knew was my point. If she's so pissed that her hubby is off touring with his ex-girlfriend all across the world (hence her bitchiness to fans),... it's because he has to pay for the multiple architecture plans they didn't use, the expensive LA designers, for K to try to "design" her own things. There's a reason he's out there touring, Kristen! you're bankrupting him! But whatever, she has to have something to fill her time, and to keep her mind off of other things. "Now I just adore him. He is my love. My first love and my love for all time... The way he is with his children just knocks me out. I look at him now and just go, Oh, Stevie, you made a mistake! MOJO Magazine 12/03

Quote: It's your opinion that the house is horrid. I thought it looked quite nice actually! But then even if it had looked amazingly nice I'm sure fault would have been found. The woman just cannot win. Quote: I accosted Lindsey in London when he returned to his hotel with Kristen. No bitchyness was directed my way... Pip |

Re: Lindsey's house in the June issue of 'Town and Country'
Quote: I know many people, including myself, who have not had her be anything other than a totally normal person. I was at some of the shows where the bitchiness was reported and at more than one of them she was with her children and was clearly getting nervous when so many people were recognizing her and the children and pointing and looking over. If people want to interpret her looks one way, that's fine, but there are other opinions and explanations for some of the things that have happened. She's a human being and I know I am one too. There are times I'm annoyed for reasons that have nothing to do with the person who might be looking at me and summing me up based on one look or encounter. Pardon me, but I happen to think people are human and I don't try to sum up their whole life by one moment. Whether it's taking pot shots at her looks or clothes or home or taste, it never ends. I'd love for everyone here to post their picture on some strange internet site and let everyone on that site pick them apart for nothing other than mean spirited sport. Quote: Actually, no, I didn't know that was your point. Quote: Who said she's pissed off that her husband is touring with his ex girlfriend and bandmate? Also, if she was bitchy, who says you or anyone else know the reason why she was in a bad mood at that moment and how would you know it has anything to do with her husband's tour and ex girlfriend. Is this one of those other missing interviews or some secret gossip that's taken on a life of it's own and is now considered fact by some fans. Quote: Did you read the article? It pretty much seemed to me that this was a joint project that they both enjoyed and wanted to do. I don't speculate on other peoples personal finances, but common sense would tell you that Lindsey and Kristen decided to build this home long before he knew whether getting back together with FM would ever happen, let alone last long enough to result in a good cd the record company would want, and a new tour. The idea among some fans that he is bankrupt is ludicrous and comes from nothing more than people making judgments about someone's personal life and finances without knowing anything about it. Oh, and he's also out there touring because he loves performing and doing what he loves, making music. That he gets paid very well for doing something he loves is a great bonus. Quote: Looks to me like Kristen has plenty to fill her time and since she's a normal human being I would think she would have everyday problems just like the rest of us. She seems to have a wonderful and loving husband who only tours every 7-10 years and who is interested in living a great life with her and their children. Personally, I wish every person would have a life that seems to bring them so much happiness. "The one thing I could look at thats happened to me in the last few years thats really a miracle is that I - having never been married, and having had a series of tumultuous relationships, and never having had children - I got married and now have a four-and-a-half year old son and two-and-a-half year old daughter and a wife who is the love of my life, and uh...if that dont get you into heaven, I dont know what will." LB - KFOG, San Francisco radio interview, April 24, 2003 "I have a wife and a son and a daughter, and we just moved into a beautiful new house. There's so much good energy in my life right now that I would say that even though the Rumours time was exciting and all of those years were larger than life, they were not the happiest times of my life. This probably is the best time of my life. What can I say? I must have done something right." LB - Chicago Sun Times, June 2003 Dee
