We wer told by the backstage tour guy to meet him at 4pm at the Spokane Arena. We waited around at the ticket office and front of the arena for 40 minutes before we gave up. As we were walking around the building I glanced over a waist high fence to see a service yard and limos pulling in. Yes, it was Fleetwood Mac arriving. Stevie's limo was first and pulled all the way into the arena while everyone else had to get out outside, even her dad. The door opened of a white limo and out came Kristen with the baby and Lee Lee and Will and then finally Lindsey. I think Jackie and I were both in shock as we both just watched and didn't mutter a sound. Lee Lee is so cute. But more on that later.
On to the concert notes. During the beginning of Rhiannon (sp? it's late please forgive me) Lee Lee climbed up on stage with her headphones to watch Daddy. Kristen was behind her on the floor with a video camera. Lindsey was smiling at me and I pointed in Lee Lee's direction and he followed my gaze to her. Their interaction was so cute and so touching. It was absolutely adorable. I think she is a little Stevie fan myself as her choice of songs to climb onto the stage. After Come Kristen gave Lee Lee the video camera to tape Dad. Again the cutest thing. Lee Lee was gone about halfway through Say Goodbye.
We had made a sign for the Auburn concert that said "See you in Spokane". As Lindsey walked on stage in the dark (we were in an arena again) he walked to the edge without his guitar, scanned the front row for us and stopped when he spotted us, pointed, waved and smiled before going back and getting his guitar to start the Chain. Swoon.
Stevie is starting to really get into the last half of the set. Gold Dust Woman was exceptional as was Stand Back. It seems to get better and better with each concert.
I saw the Sara boots tonight. ahhh. Stevie changed up the Goodbye Baby wardrobe and wore the most gorgeous burgundy duster/coat with this amazing white sparkling overlay. I was just speechless when I saw it. Yes I have pictures but those will have to wait until I get home in a few days, sorry. The second pair of boots made their entrance in World Turning and stayed till the end of the show.
Another quick note during Don't Stop Lindsey didn't rest his head on Stevie's back at the end. During one of the songs Lindsey looked at his guitar perplexed picked up the string and I think put it back on the soundboard. I think the days are numbered for the white Tusk guitar because it seems to be the most abused as it gets flung across the stage and this night ending up soundboard down as it slid. ouch!
Well, I am little road weary at this point. I have Ridgefield left and then I am going home. How do these people stay on the road for so long?
Alicia
p.s. I met a very nice buckinghamnicks poster in Spokane and just wanted to say hi and to have a great time in Ridgefield and Bozeman.
