Oh Daddy use to me my least favorite track on Rumours when I was young, like 16. But time has given me a different look at it (now 36). I especially like the outtake version on the Rumours remastered cd where Stevie's backing vocals are better heard.
Here's my least favorite (you forgot Mirage): White Album - Warm Ways Rumours - Songbird Tusk - That's Enough for Me Mirage - Oh Diane Tango In the Night - Seven Wonders Say You Will - Silver Girl |

Fleetwood Mac - Warm Ways
Rumours - Oh Daddy Tusk - Walk a Thin Line Mirage- Wish You Were Here Tango in the Night - Family Man (I'm not that crazy about Seven Wonders or Little Lies either.) Say You Will - Silver Girl Cathy

Fleetwood Mac - Blue Letter
Rumours - Songbird [it used to be 'Oh Daddy', but I've found new respect for it] Tusk - [I'm going to be killed for this] Sara Mirage - Empire State [contender to be the worst of 'em all] Tango in the Night - Family Man [probably gives Empire State a run for its money] Say You Will - Red Rover |

Gee how did I forget Mirage-thats what started me off as I was in the bath with the multi change cd on and the sound turned up and Oh Diane came on and there wasn't a darned thing I could do about it!
It was harder picking from some albums more than others I do love Oh Daddy but just love the other tracks that little bit more...! |

White-Sugar Daddy or Over My Head
Rumours-I Don't Wanna Know (although it's tolerable) Tusk-Honey Hi Mirage-Only Over You Tango-Family Man (I think this is the absolute WORST song of Linds/Rumours-line-up FM history!) Say You Will-big surprise, Silver Girl (honestly Stevie...what were you thinking?) ![]() |

The worst album tracks are definately:
FM - Warm Ways Rumours - Oh Daddy (it's just plain too long, but good other than that) Tusk - I nominate the whole album, but Never Forget is particularly bad Live - Fireflies, boring and repetitive of earlier work Mirage - by far Empire State, but other than Gypsy and Hold Me the whole album was a waste. Tango in the Night - Welcome to the Room Sara, it is so contrived sounding, and When I See you Again. The Dance - has to be the version of Gypsy from here Say You Will - the only bad song was Silver Girl. It's annoying, plodding, and pointless. It's just plain bad songwriting and it's overpretentious. |

ajmccarrell, what's so bad about Tusk? Next to Out of the Cradle, it's my favorite all-time album!
Worst tracks... White album- Warm Ways Rumours- Dreams Tusk- That's All For Everyone Mirage- Empire State Tango- Family Man The Dance- hate, hate, HATE this version of Dreams...the worst version of an already-bad-enough song Say You Will- Silver Girl |

White - Warm Ways
Rumours - Oh Daddy (actually I like this - this album is golden - but if I have to rank them, it goes on the bottom). Tusk - The Ledge Mirage - Empire State Tango - Family Man (I share the sentiment that this is pretty much the worst song Fleetwood Mac ever put on an album). Say You Will - Silver Girl - Nancy

Hey, I know at least two other people who agree with you gypsysoul! lol After all, what's not to like with a song with a chorus consisting of:
Iamwhatiam, amwhatIam, amwhatIam, amwhatIam.... A family man! (a family man) Iamwhatiam, amwhatIam, amwhatIam, amwhatIam.... A family man! (a family man) mother, father, brother....mother, father, brother... Brilliance. - Nancy

Re: worst album tracks | ||

*I* like Family Man too.
White Album: Over My Head Rumours: Dreams (just so overplayed...) Tusk: Hmmm. I guess Never Make Me Cry as I can't remember the tune Mirage: I love this album.... I'm going to say Only Over You Tango: I love this album too....I like the whole vibe and it really reminds me of a good time in my life. If I had to choose, I guess You and I is pretty disposable. Say You Will: Silver Girl and Illume (tie) |

(a family man) mother, father, brother....mother, father...... ----------------------------------------------------------- THAT is what I call a profound lyric. I still think it's better than "you, you, you, you, you and i"
with that irritating jingly tune that sounds like some kids tv program or something! |

Ooooo! I luuurve 'You and I part ii ' too. ---------------------------------------- "you, you, you, you, you and I " ---------------------------------------- Sheer poetry, I tell you. Give that man the Nobel prize for literature, I say. And when he adds that school disco jingle to the poetry, I could just pass out in ectasy. And for the record, before anyone else raises it - I love, love, LOVE 'Oh Diane.' |

Re: worst album tracks | ||

Hmm... Richard Dashut contributed to the lyrics of both Family Man and Empire State, so I say let's blame him! lol (I do like the verse melody of Empire State and the ending guitar solo, though. Just wished it had better lyrics.)
